VBS Opportunities

Thank you for praying, inviting kids, donating items, and giving your time to VBS.  We are still in need of leaders for VBS.  If you can lead or want to register your child for VBS, please sign up today by going online to www.brevardcommunity.org and click on Forms.

Listed below are training, decoration, and volunteer t-shirt pick up dates.  Training is needed for anyone that will help out with VBS, even if you are volunteering one day.  If you are unable to attend a training or pick up your t-shirt, please call Heather Crawford at 

577-0195.  The t-shirt distribution and training sessions will be in the Worship Center.  Childcare will be provided tomorrow night for children whose parents are in VBS training. 

                                Training Date: Tomorrow Night (7/27) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM

              Alternate Training Date: Monday (8/1) from 10:00 to 11:30 AM

                          Decoration Dates: This evening (7/26) drop in from 5:00 to 8:00 PM 

                                                            This Sunday (7/31) from 2:00 to 8:00 PM

                                                            Monday (8/1) from 1:00 PM until evening

Communion

During Communion we will remember and acknowledge Christ's ultimate sacrifice made on our behalf for the forgiveness of our sins.  We will celebrate Communion during both worships this Sunday, July 31st. 

Madness

Next Monday, middle school and high school students will have a pool party at Franklin Park from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Food will be provided.  This will be the last Madness of the summer so you don't want to miss out!

Midweek Worship

Tomorrow evening, Kit Garren will be speaking and leading us in prayer.  Worship will start at 6:30 PM and snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM.  Preschool Ministry and Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM. 

Brevard CC App

This new app allows you to listen to previous messages, give tithes, send prayer requests, access the calendar and other information about BCC.

VBS Drop In
Tonight will be the VBS Drop-In Worknight from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the blue room.  We appreciate all your help in preparing for VBS. 

Madness
Middle and high school students will enjoy games, food, and fellowship at the French Broad Community Center from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on July 25th.  Madness will also be held on August 1st.

Midweek Worship

Kingdom Quest Day Camp Ministry will be using the entire campus this week; therefore, Midweek Worship will NOT be held this Wednesday.  Please pray the children attending camp will draw closer to Him.

This new app allows you to listen to previous messages, give tithes, send prayer requests, access the calendar and other information about BCC.  Below are directions on how to download the BCC app:

The VBS projects are underway and are off to a great start!  You can help this evening or any other Tuesday of this month by dropping in from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the blue room.  Thank you for all your dedication to making VBS a success.

Come hear what God is doing through our partners from the Middle East tomorrow night at 6:30 PM.   Snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM.  Preschool and Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM. 

Discovering Membership

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the beliefs and structure of BCC.  If you would like to know more about joining BCC, make plans to attend tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM in the orange room downstairs.  Childcare and refreshments will be provided.

Vacation Bible School

Below are three ways you can serve and prepare for VBS.  We appreciate all your help to make VBS a great success and share Christ with others.

• Sign up to serve, even if it just one day.  Volunteers need to be here from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM from August 2nd through August 5th.  We are especially in need of childcare workers, crew leaders, and preschool game helpers.
• Drop in during VBS Work Nights.  They are every Tuesday night in July from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the blue room.  The first one starts this evening at 5:00 PM.
• Please don't forget to pray and invite kids.  July prayer calendars and registration forms are online.  Check out more information at www.facebook.com/groups/BCCVBS/.

Sycamore Flats Picnic and Baptism

We will have a picnic tomorrow at 5:00 PM at Sycamore Flats.   Baptism will be at 6:30 PM.  If you would like to be baptized tomorrow evening, please call the church office at 884-5932 or email lauren@brevardcommunity.org.  A meal will be provided, all you need to bring is a chair. Because parking is limited, we will be offering a shuttle starting at 4:30 PM.  Please park at the church and ride the van over to Sycamore Flats.

Men's Fellowship Breakfast

The Men's Fellowship Breakfast will NOT meet this Saturday, July 2nd.  Please enjoy this holiday weekend with friends and family. 

Church Office Closed

In observance of Independence Day, the office will be closed next Monday, July 4th.

Community News 6/21/16

Midweek Worship

Tomorrow evening Shannon Compton will be leading us in prayer at 6:30 PM.  Join us for snacks at 6:00 PM.  Preschool and Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM. 

Garden Ministry

We will start harvesting vegetables this Friday at 5:00 PM.  The first vegetable distribution will be this Saturday starting at 9:00 AM and ending around 11:00 AM in the parking lot of the church.  Please pray that God will be preparing the hearts of those who will benefit from the physical food to receive the living water He offers.

Yard Sale

David and Sandra McNeill will be having a yard sale this Saturday morning starting at 8:00 AM in the student center.  It will end around 12:00 PM.  All proceeds will go towards the Montana Mission Trip.  If you would like to donate items to the yard sale, please drop them off in the youth building this Friday evening after 6:30 PM or at the McNeill's house before 6:00 PM on Friday evening.  To donate items, please contact Sandra at 553-9712 or email her at sandragmcneill@gmail.com.

Gospel Project Bible Study

What is one of the biggest threats to the church?  Is it our government?  The next president? Christian leaders say none of these threats compare to the church's lack of knowledge of the Scriptures and how to think Biblically in today's world.  Are you looking for a group to help you understand God's Word better and how to apply it?  Join us on Sundays at 9:30 AM in the Welcome Street House for the summer session. Vacation Bible School

Please pray and ask God who He wants you to invite to VBS this summer.  Please keep in mind, we want to reach out to those in the community who may not attend church.  We encourage you to give them the personal VBS invites (that you received on Sunday) and then follow up by praying that their families will be impacted by Christ's love.  We also are in need of many leaders.  Be sure to sign up now so you can receive the correct VBS t-shirt size.  To sign up or find out more information, check out www.facebook.com/groups/BCCVBS/.
