Community News 12/30/14


New Year
In observance of the new year, midweek worship will not be held tomorrow evening on Wednesday, December 31st and the office will be closed on Thursday, January 1st.

Pastoral Sabbatical
Pastor Todd wants to share with you personally that he will be taking a two-month sabbatical during the months of January and February in order to come away from the normal business of work and life, and to hear God speak His desires and His ideas into Todd's heart.  The members of the church will be receiving a letter about the sabbatical this week.  He will be explaining more about the sabbatical this Sunday.  

Men's Fellowship Breakfast
On the first Saturday of each month, men enjoy a great breakfast, coffee, and a time of fellowship in the Word of God.  This is a wonderful way to start your new year this Saturday, January 3rd at 7:30 AM in the student center.

Discovering Membership
Interested in becoming a member of Brevard Community Church?  Join us for Discovering Membership Class this Sunday, January 4th at 12:30 PM in the Worship Center.  Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Life Group Interest Meeting
Do you have a burden to see people grow in their walk with the Lord?  Do you ever feel the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart to go deeper with a few people to see them really understand Christ?  If so, you may be called to the Life Group Ministry.  On Sunday, January 11th at 12:15 PM in the student center a brief informational meeting will be held for anyone interested in starting a BCC Life Group.  

Adult Bible Study
A 13 week Weirsbe Bible Study on Psalms will begin on Sunday, March 1st at 8:15 AM in the brown house.  Hope Kelly and Sheila Alewine will be leading the Bible study.  If you would like to participate, a sign up sheet will be in the welcome center.

Community News 12/23/14


Christmas Eve Worship!
Tomorrow, we will have have two Christmas Eve Worships.  The first will begin at 4:30 PM and the second will begin at 6:00 PM in the Worship Center.  Each worship will have music, a special time for the children, a Christmas message, and candle lighting.  This is a Christmas tradition at BCC for the whole family.  Childcare will be provided during both worships for children under the age of 2.  

Church Office Closed!
In observance of Christmas, the church office will be closed Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th.

Community News 12/16/14



Midweek Worship!
Join us tomorrow evening as Pastor Todd Alewine will be speaking.  Snacks will begin at 6:00 and worship will start at 6:30 PM.  Switch Middle School Ministry will be held in the Student Center at 6:30 and the Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM.

Christmas Bereavement Worship
While this is one of the seasons that brings us much joy, it can also be a difficult time for those who have lost loved ones.  With this in mind, Pastor Todd will be leading a Bereavement Worship this Sunday, December 21st at 2:00 PM in the blue room.  The purpose of this worship is to present the hope and encouragement we have in the Lord.  Light desserts will be provided afterwards.

Community News 12/9/14


Community Christmas Dinner!
Our annual Christmas dinner is tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm.  We will provide the meat but ask that you bring a couple of large side dishes.  We are inviting our church family and community so we need to make sure we have enough food.  Thanks so much for your heart to give.

BCC Choir!
We will be having our BCC Choir join us for Worship on Sunday, December 21st!  If you would like to join the Choir, please see Brett at the Christmas Dinner tomorrow night or email him at brett@brevardcommunity.org.  Mandatory rehearsals will be held on Saturday, December 20th, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and Sunday, December 21st, from 7:45 to 9:00 am.  

Switch Christmas Party!
The Switch Christmas Party is for middle school and high school students.  Join us for a night of fun, food, and games in the Worship Center from 5:00 to 8:00 pm this Sunday, December 14th.  For more information please email brad@brevardcommunity.org.

Community News 12/2/14


Midweek Worship!
A guest speaker from a closed country will be here tomorrow night to share stories from their own life and share stories of changed lives.  Snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM and worship will begin at 6:30 PM.  Switch Middle School Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM in the student center.  

Men's Fellowship Breakfast!
The Men's Ministry encourages men of all ages to join them for a hot breakfast and an inspiring message.  The Men's Fellowship Breakfast will be held this Saturday, December 6th at 7:30 AM in the student center.

Worship Memorial For Thomas McBride
There will be a worship memorial here at Brevard Community Church in the Worship Center for Thomas McBride this Saturday on the 6th.  Family visitation will be at 12:00 PM and the worship memorial will begin at 1:00 PM.

Missions Offering!
All tithes given this Sunday, December 7th will fund both local and foreign missions as well as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  Ask the Lord what He would have you to do!
