Community News 11/29/16


Missions' Night
Join us for mid-week worship and prayer tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20th beginning at 6:30 PM.  This missions' night will highlight some of the missions that BCC supports.  We will also pray over the Appalachian Coalfield shoes that will be distributed during the Kentucky mission trip in December.  Snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM.  Preschool and Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM.

Men's Breakfast
This Saturday, December 3rd, will be our monthly men's fellowship breakfast in the student center.  All men are invited to join us for breakfast, bible study, and prayer beginning at 7:30 AM.

Missions' Offering
This Sunday, December 4th, will be BCC's Mission Sunday.  All tithes and offerings collected on Sunday will be used to support local missions, foreign missions, as well as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Gospel Project
A new session of the Gospel Project Bible Study will begin this Sunday, December 4th.  The Gospel Project is a chronological journey through the scriptures.  This study meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM in the Welcome Street house.  For more information contact Trudy Pierron at gtpierron@citcom.net or visit www.gospelproject.com.

Community News 11/21/16


Thanksgiving Communion
Give thanks this Thanksgiving by pausing to remember what Christ has done for us.  We will celebrate Communion tomorrow, Tuesday November 22nd, at 6:30 PM in the worship center.  Childcare will be provided.

No Midweek Worship
There will be no midweek worship this Wednesday, November 23rd in observance of Thanksgiving.  Enjoy this time with your friends and family.

Church Office Closed
The church office will be closed this Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.

Missions' Night
Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30 PM we will be having our missions' night where we will be highlighting some of the missions that BCC supports.  We will also be praying over the Appalachian Coalfield shoes that will be personally handed to individuals in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Community News 11/15/16


Mid-Week Worship & Prayer
Join us tomorrow for mid-week worship and prayer beginning at 6:30 PM.  Kit Garren will be leading our prayer time.  Snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM.  Preschool and Children's Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM.

Mom-2-Mom
Being a mom can be hard, but it is a little easier when you don't have to do it alone.  Come to Mom-2-Mom this Thursday, November 17th from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the blue room.  Gather with other moms for conversation and Bible study.  Childcare will be provided.

Serving Saturday
This Saturday, November 19th, a group from BCC will be painting the cafeteria at Pisgah Forest Elementary School.  This is a great way to give back to our community and share the love of Jesus with our neighbors.  For more information or to sign up, contact marty@brevardcommunity.org.

Augustine Literacy Project
BCC will host a cursive handwriting workshop taught by the Augustine Literacy Project this Saturday, November 19th from 8:30 AM to Noon (in the Blue Room).  This is a great opportunity for teachers, parents, tutors, or anyone who would like to learn to teach cursive.  For more information and to register visit www.augustineproject-brevard.org.

Mid-Week Worship & Prayer

How to Neighbor Devotional Plan
This past Sunday, we launched our new teaching series, How to Neighbor.  Continuing to seek God's wisdom through studying His Word, we ask everyone to participate in a 10 day devotional plan.  You can access the How to Neighbor plan through the YouVersion app.  For more information, contact the church at 828.884.5932.

Operation Christmas Child
BCC is partnering with Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child to collect gift-filled shoe boxes that will be used to share the Gospel around the world.  Instructions, labels, and empty boxes are available at the back of the worship center.  Pick one up today, and take delight in packing a box with your friends and family.  This is a powerful tool to share the love of Jesus Christ with the world.  Please return all boxes NO LATER than this Sunday, November 13th.  

Workdays at the Church
Come out on November 11th and 12th to help as we take care of this beautiful campus God has given to us.  We have a lot on the "to do" list, so don't think that your help would not be needed or appreciated.  For more information, email shannon@brevardcommunity.org.

Ladies' Game Night
Women of all ages are invited to our Ladies' Game Night on Saturday, November 12th from 6 to 9 PM in the worship center.  This will be an exciting time filled with activities, games, conversation, and lots of laughter.  Childcare will be provided.  For more information, or to sign up for childcare, contact mredding96@gmail.com

Pray for Our Mission Teams
This week we have 2 mission teams serving in Thailand and Southeast Asia.  Pray for God to give each team opportunities to tell His Story and share His Love.  Pray for the people to be open in receiving the truth of the Gospel.
