Community News 3/15/16


Midweek Worship
We will continue to seek God's face and pray for the future of BCC tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM.  Snacks will be provided at 6:00 PM.  Children's Ministry and Preschool Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM. 

"Dislecksia: The Movie"
Brevard College and The Brevard Augustine Literacy Project are co-hosting "Dislecksia: The Movie."  This documentary examines the root cause of dyslexia, discusses the prominence of reading difficulties throughout the nation, and features a discussion of how educators can hope to improve the current situation.  It will be showing this evening at 7:00 PM in Dunham Hall at Brevard College.  There will be a panel of professionals immediately following.  Admission is free.  Email Wendi Adair at brevardaugustine@gmail.com with any questions. 

Community Garden
This year BCC will again grow a community garden.  We need volunteers to assist with this ministry.  The planting of potatoes is scheduled for March 21st at 4:30 PM, weather permitting.  To volunteer, please email Gary Compton at garymcompton@gmail.com. 

Discovering Membership
To find out more about Brevard Community Church, make plans to attend Discovering Membership Class on Wednesday, April 6th at 6:30 PM in the orange room downstairs.  Childcare and light refreshments will be provided.

If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and desire to make your faith known, please call the church office at 884-5932 or email lauren@brevardcommunity.org.  The next Baptism will be Sunday, April 10th.   

Family Retreat Weekend
Join us at Bonclarken Conference Center May 6th through May 8th for a weekend of family fun and spiritual growth.  The weekend is especially designed for refreshing parents and making memories with family.  The cost of this retreat is $150 per family.  For more information or to register, email Pastor Chris Schlender at chris@brevardcommunity.org.  Sign up by April 10th.
