Community News 2/9/16

Life Group Connect
Make plans to attend Life Group Connect tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet individuals in Life Groups and hear Gary Compton's testimony of how Life Groups have brought others closer to Christ.  Snacks will be at 6:00 PM. Worship, Preschool Ministry, Children's Ministry, and Switch Middle School Ministry will begin at 6:30 PM.

Communion
In observing Communion we are remembering that we are a part of the new covenant paid by Christ's life, death and resurrection.  We will partake in Communion during both worships this coming Sunday.  We will reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of love Christ made for us.

Switch School Small Groups
Switch Ministry will not meet this Sunday evening for Small Groups.  Please take this time to spend with friends and family.

Question and Answer
As most of you know, Pastor Todd told us on Sunday that he has completed the work God had called him to do at Brevard Community Church.  His last Sunday will be March 6th.  In an effort to keep you as informed as possible, on Wednesday evening on the 17th of February at 6:30, Pastor Todd and the elders will be answering your questions.  Please understand we are early in the process and some of your questions will not have answers at this time.  It is the desire of leadership to keep you as informed as possible as we seek God and He reveals His plan to us.  Please pray daily for our elders, our pastors as well as Todd and Sheila.

Faith and Reason
Michelle Tepper, a speaker from Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, will be at the Brevard College's Porter Center on Thursday, February 18th at 7:00 PM.  Michelle will be addressing the question, "How can Christians claim there is only one way to God?"  Brett Best will open with music and the evening will end with a question and answer time.  Admission is free.

Mission Trip To Lebanon
On this mission trip we will be working with the group, Heart for Lebanon.  This is a ministry that helps the refugees from Syria and Iraq.  We will be interfacing with individuals, helping to distribute goods, working in schools, visiting in their homes, and sharing the love of Christ with the hopeless.  This mission trip will be in the middle of May.  There will be an informational meeting on February 21st at 2:00 PM in the student center for those with interest or questions. For more information, please contact Liz Fleming at lfleming@phri.com or Alan Perry at alan@brevardcommunity.org.
